How to Write a Sales Page with Claude

Writing an effective sales page is an art that combines psychology, copywriting and persuasive structure. With Claude, you can create high-converting sales pages in minutes instead of days. This tutorial guides you step by step to transform your offer into a complete sales page, from analyzing your audience to writing the final copy. You'll learn how to use the most effective prompts to generate compelling headlines, structure your sales arguments, write credible testimonials, and create irresistible calls to action. Whether you're selling a physical product, a service, or an online course, this method adapts to all industries.

Prerequisites

  • 1.A Claude account (free or Pro)
  • 2.A clearly defined offer (product, service, or course)
  • 3.A basic knowledge of your target audience
  • 4.The main benefits of your offer identified
  • 5.Client testimonials or concrete results (if available)

Steps

1

Define your client avatar and their pain points

Before writing, you need to deeply understand your ideal client. This step allows Claude to calibrate the tone, vocabulary, and emotional arguments of the entire sales page. The more precise your brief, the more impactful and personalized the result. Provide as much context as possible about your target's frustrations, desires, and objections.

You are an expert in copywriting and consumer psychology. My product is [DESCRIBE YOUR OFFER]. My target audience is [DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL CLIENT]. In-depth analysis:

  1. The 5 main frustrations of this target (pain points)
  2. The 5 deep desires they seek to satisfy
  3. The 5 main objections they will have before buying
  4. The exact vocabulary they use to describe their problem
  5. The triggering moment that pushes them to look for a solution
Format your response in a structured way with concrete examples.
Tip: Paste real customer reviews, forum comments, or messages you've received so that Claude can absorb the authentic language of your audience.
2

Create an irresistible hook and headline

The headline is the most important element of your sales page: 80% of visitors will only read that. You will ask Claude to generate several variants based on proven copywriting formulas (PAS, AIDA, 4U). Then select the one that resonates most with your offer and your target.

Based on my client avatar analysis, generate 10 headline variants for my sales page using these formulas:

  • 3 headlines based on the PAS formula (Problem-Agitation-Solution)
  • 3 headlines based on a quantified benefit and a timeframe
  • 2 headlines based on curiosity
  • 2 headlines starting with "How"
For each headline, add a subtitle of 1-2 sentences that reinforces the promise. The tone should be [FORMAL/CONVERSATIONAL/BOLD]. My offer: [REPEAT YOUR OFFER].
Tip: Ask Claude to rate each headline out of 10 in terms of emotional impact and clarity, then justify its rating to help you choose.
3

Structure the body of the page with the PASTOR method

The PASTOR method (Problem, Amplification, Story, Transformation, Offer, Response) is one of the most effective structures for long-form sales pages. Claude will write each section based on insights from step 1. The result is a smooth text that naturally guides the reader toward purchase.

Write the full body of my sales page following the PASTOR structure:

  1. PROBLEM: Describe the main problem in 2-3 impactful paragraphs. Use the vocabulary of my target.
  2. AMPLIFICATION: Show the consequences of not acting. Create a sense of emotional urgency.
  3. STORY: Tell a transformation story (mine or a client's). Make it vivid and specific.
  4. TRANSFORMATION: List the 7 main benefits of my offer with a "Before → After" format.
  5. OFFER: Present my offer irresistibly. Detail everything included with the perceived value of each element.
  6. RESPONSE: Create a powerful call to action with a guarantee.

Tone: conversational but professional. Length: about 2000 words. Offer: [DETAILS OF YOUR OFFER AND PRICE].

Tip: If your page is too long, ask Claude to shorten it by keeping only the most impactful arguments. An effective sales page is never too long, it's too boring.
4

Write social proof and credibility blocks

Social proof is the most powerful psychological lever in sales. This step generates sections that build trust: formatted testimonials, key figures, client logos, guarantees, and reassurance elements. If you have real testimonials, Claude will rephrase them to maximize their impact.

Create the social proof blocks for my sales page:

  1. Rephrase these client testimonials to make them more impactful while keeping them authentic: [PASTE YOUR TESTIMONIALS]
  2. Generate a "Trusted by" section with 3 mini case studies (context → problem → quantified result)
  3. Write a reassuring guarantee block (30-day money-back guarantee) with a confident tone
  4. Create an FAQ section of 5 questions that address the main objections identified in step 1
  5. Write 3 variants of CTA (call-to-action button) with a micro-commitment text just below

If I don't have testimonials yet, suggest "typical results" formulations based on the benefits of my offer.

Tip: Always use real testimonials when possible. If you don't have any yet, offer your product for free to 3-5 people in exchange for their honest feedback.
5

Optimize and finalize the sales page

This final step involves having Claude review and optimize the entire page. You'll ask it to act as a copywriting director who audits the page, identifies weaknesses, and proposes improvements. This is also the time to add layout elements (design annotations) and optimize for SEO.

Here is my complete sales page: [PASTE ALL TEXT]. Act as a copywriting director with 20 years of experience and:

  1. Rate each section out of 10 (headline, body, social proof, CTA)
  2. Identify the 3 major weak points and propose a rewrite for each
  3. Check that the emotion/logic ratio is balanced (about 70/30)
  4. Add [DESIGN] annotations to suggest visual elements (icons, spacing, CTA colors)
  5. Propose 3 variants of the presented price (anchoring, strikethrough, installment payment)
  6. Optimize the first 2 paragraphs for SEO with the main keyword: [YOUR KEYWORD]
  7. Generate the final complete version incorporating all improvements
Tip: Have the final version reviewed by someone from your target audience. Ask them: 'After reading, what makes you want to buy? What holds you back?' Then submit this feedback to Claude for a final adjustment.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Talking about yourself and your product instead of the client and their problems — an effective sales page uses the word 'you' three times more than 'I'
  • Not providing enough context to Claude about the target audience, resulting in generic and unconvincing text
  • Copy-pasting Claude’s output without personalizing it with real examples, figures, and testimonials specific to your business
  • Neglecting social proof and guarantees, which are the two elements that most reduce perceived risk for the buyer
  • Creating only one CTA at the end of the page when you should place at least three (after the hook, after the transformation, and in the conclusion)

FAQ

What is the ideal length for a sales page generated with Claude?
The length depends on the price of your offer. For a product under €50, aim for 800 to 1500 words. For an offer between €50 and €500, expect 1500 to 3000 words. Above €500, a long page of 3000 to 5000 words with plenty of social proof is recommended. Ask Claude to adjust the length by specifying the price in your prompt.
How can I make the text generated by Claude less 'artificial'?
Three techniques: first, provide Claude with examples of your writing style (emails, LinkedIn posts) and ask it to draw inspiration from them. Then, replace generic examples with your real anecdotes and figures. Finally, use the prompt 'Rewrite this text as if you were talking to a friend in a café, keeping the sales arguments intact' to humanize the tone.
Can I use Claude to create sales pages in multiple languages?
Yes, Claude excels at contextualized translation. First write your page in French, then ask: 'Adapt this sales page for the [COUNTRY] market. Don’t translate word for word: adapt cultural references, expressions, and examples so they resonate with a [NATIONALITY] audience.' The result will be much more natural than a simple translation.
How can I test the effectiveness of my sales page?
Ask Claude to generate 2 to 3 variants of your headline and CTA. Use an A/B testing tool (Google Optimize, ConvertKit) to compare them. Measure the conversion rate on at least 200 visitors per variant. Then submit the results to Claude so it can analyze why one version performs better and generate new optimized variants.
